The operation of the bus going from Rampur to Ayodhya has been stopped from Saturday. A huge crowd of visitors has gathered in Ayodhya. Because of this, buses are not being allowed to go beyond Lucknow. In view of the situation, the roadways administration has currently stopped the bus going to Ayodhya.
Rampur Roadways Depot operated two buses for Ramotsav. On the first day, the bus had left for Ayodhya with 30 passengers. After this, devotees were continuously going to Ayodhya. Due to overcrowding it is not going till Ayodhya. Therefore this bus service has been stopped.
Due to not being able to go ahead of Lucknow, passengers are also not able to travel. People are going by other means. ARM Roadways Deepchandra Jain told that this service is currently closed.
Action on buses parked outside the airport
Traffic Inspector Vijendra Singh and Sub Inspector Sumit Kumar along with the team put up warning messages at major intersections. The team made the drivers aware and warned them to take action if they violate the rules. At around 11 am, boards have been put up at several places outside the Roadways Bus Stand, Ambedkar Park and along the Nainital Highway, warning people to follow traffic rules while driving.
Along with this, vehicles were also asked to park away from the intersection. Instructions have been given to the drivers and operators of buses parked outside the roadways bus stand. Told that if buses are parked outside the premises, action will be taken against the drivers and conductors.
